Donald Brittingham Obituary

BRITTINGHAM, DONALD B., 78, - of Linwood, died on July 5, 2008. He was born in Wilmington, DE in 1929 and raised on Manor Avenue in Claymont. He graduated from Claymont High School. Don had a varied career in Corporate VP sales and marketing with Tetley Tea, Beech Nut and the Haagen-Dazs Corporations. He is predeceased by his parents, Milton S. and Kathryn A. Brittingham and his sister, Janet W. Cole. Don is survived by his step daughter, Tina Nemsdale and her husband Daniel and their two children, Tyler and Bethany of Northfield; his niece, Kathryn Sarnecky and her husband, Michael and their two children, Sarah and Matthew of Newark, DE; niece, Merry (Betsy) Cole and nephew, William Cole of Claymont, DE. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 1021 Gilpin Avenue, Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19806. chandlerfuneralhome.com
