A Tribute to Pop George

Once upon a time, Mom brought home this guy.
We weren't digging him at first, but soon decided to give him at try.
He was nice enough I guess. Though I must confess,
I soon thought it odd that he had two pet pigs and lived on a farm. But he managed to win over our Mom with his boyish charm.
He soon grew on us, that sears repairman.
In no time at all he became part of the family.
He was sweet and kind~ who could ask for more.
After a few gin & tonics, he'd grab Mom and make his very own dance floor.
Oh their rhythm may have been off, but what fun they had.
I guess he was a pretty okay stepdad.
After all, he brought a smile to our Mom's face.
They were good for one another, in good times and in bad.
Which is why today is so very sad. We are saying good-bye to our pop, dad, friend and brother.
And I can truely say there will never be another.
So here's to you Pop~
May you catch the biggest fish that the seas of heaven have to offer. May you have cocktails with all who have gone before you and dance beneath the stars.
And may you give an extra hug and kiss to that beautiful Mother of ours.

I am very sorry to hear of George's passing. After Eileen, his life partner passed he was very troubled. I would like to remember the "good times" we had at work. George you were happy and full of life. May you be happy in eternity.
