MCDERMOTT, WILLIAM J., 79 - of Smithville, and formerly of Philadelphia, PA. on July 6, 2008. Devoted husband of the late Theresa (nee Silk). Son of the late Francis and Ida. Brother of John and Frances. Brother-in law of Margaret (Silk) Brenner and Mary (nee Silk) Donovan. Beloved Uncle of ten nieces and nephews. Former U.S. Marine seeing service in China, and Life Time member of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 454. Life long fan of the Eagles and Phillies. Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Assumption church 10:00am where family and friends may call from 9:00am. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements by Lowenstein Funeral Home, Smithville.

We're sorry to hear of Bill's passing,
but we know He is in a better place
now. He is reunited with His beloved
Theresa again. He was never the
same after Her death. We have so
many happy memories and good times
we shared with them. We will sorely
miss you Willie McDermott. You could
always make us laugh!

Willie and Theresa are together again. I'm so glad we got to see Willie this past year at Meadowview. He was affable as usual and we shared good conversation.
The past 10 yrs or so were difficult for him and losing Theresa left a huge hole in his heart. I'll never forget you Willie...no one will.
