John Fairbanks Obituary



FAIRBANKS, JOHN R., "JACK", 77 - of Cherry Hill and Ocean City, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2008. Beloved husband of Bobbie Fairbanks (nee Triviz). Blessed to cherish his memory are his children Lynn Gavin and her husband John, Kenneth Fairbanks and his wife Shelly and Pamela Martin and her husband Jim. Dear grandfather of Courtney, Connor, Christopher, Gavin, Chase and Kyle. Loving brother of Dorothy and her husband Fred Borleis and June Utley. Jack was born on March 20, 1931 to the late Ernest & Dora Fairbanks. He grew up in Baltimore, MD in the Overlea area. Jack served in the U.S Navy for 4 years as an aerial photographer during the Korean War. He graduated from the Univ. of Maryland with a degree in Mech. Eng. and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and the Mech. Eng. honor society. He worked for RCA and retired from Dupont Co. after 25 years. Jack enjoyed playing the piano and walking the beaches of Ocean City near 50th St. Jack loved his family and will be missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday July 11th from 10-11 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton. A memorial service will be held Friday 11AM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
