Gary McDuffie Obituary



McDUFFIE, GARY 78, - of Pleasantville, was born December 31, 1929, in Greenville, SC, to the late George Washington Gary and Alma Ellen McDaneil. He went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2008, at Mainland Manor in Pleasantville. Gary grew up in Greenville where he attended and graduated from Sterling High School. Gary served for his country in the United States Army. Gray worked as a chef in Chicago and Las Vegas before settling in Atlantic City in 1979. He worked as a chef for Caesar's in 1979 before, beginning a career with the law firm Horn, Kaplan, Goldberg and Mackler from where he retired in 1999. He relaxed by cooking and barbequing and listening to jazz music. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. He leaves children, Badeeh Gary McDuffie and Sophia McDuffie and a grandson Noah Jerome Fears. Funeral services will be 7 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2008, Mount Zion Baptist Church, 353 South New Road, Pleasantville, where friends may call from 6 PM. Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc.

MY prays are with you habeba,badeeh,sophia. I worked with gary along time. I even took care of him in hospital. I had a chance to pray with him. GOD will always be their for you.be encouage.
