I had Ms. Rubino at Stella Maris, she was a wonderful teacher. Me and my sisters all had the privledge of beng her student. She always was patient kind and funny. Durning the time I was a student at Stella Maris, there was a wonderful group of teachers Miss Carole, Miss Esposito, Miss DelGiorgno, Miss Krieble, Miss Lepo and a few others. They worked so well together, and we were a family. Miss Carole always sent me to the teachers lounge to make copies and i thought i was so special. She made everyone feel that special. She will always be remebered and her family are in my prayers.

When I was at Stella Maris as a young teacher, I was in awe of Carole Rubino. She had such a commanding presence in that school. She was intelligent, funny, graceful, tough, and she seemed to know everyone. I used to call her my HERO. Right now so many words are filling my head about Carole. Suffice it to say,I feel privileged to call Carole a colleague and friend. John and I offer our condolences to all Carole's family, friends and acquaintances. May she now be at peace in heaven.

I can still hear Carole's laughter when I would dance by the back door of her classroom during our days at Stella Maris. We had such great times at Stella Maris and our lunches at the Melrose. You will certainly be missed. Love, Roe PS Hey Carole, do you have my marks ready yet?"

I would like to send my deepest condolences to Ms. Rubino’s family and friends. I graduated from Stella Maris in 1977 and was a student of hers and wanted to say how much she has impacted my life and I wish I had the opportunity for her to have read this and tell her of the great memories I have of those years. To see the notes from our former teachers and hearing what they have to say about their days at Stella Maris and how they have remained friends says a lot about each of them. This group of teachers always seemed to love what they did and always seemed to be so close and have fun. So, when it was time for me to send my children to school the only logical choice was Stella Maris. All three of my children have attended and I can only hope they have been given the same warm feeling and cherished memories I have about their schooldays in Stella Maris as I have been given. Many of the parents of the kids in the school today are graduates of Stella Maris. Whenever we are together we always wind up talking about our grade school days and our teachers and the same names always come up as we reminisce and laugh at the many stories and memories we all have. Ms. Rubino was a part of that special group and she is, as they are, a huge reason why we will always cherish that time of our life. I know that because of her/them, I always wanted to be a teacher. Unfortunately that didn’t happen but I always wanted to be just like them! Thank you to Ms. Rubino and her friends (our teachers) for being part of our lives and to let them know that they will remain in our hearts forever.

I would like to send my sympathies to the family of a wonderful teacher. I attended Stella Maris when Ms. Rubino taught there along with all the other wonderful teachers that were there at that time. Such wonderful memories! Thank you to Ms. Esposito for posting the picture, you all look as wonderful as you did when you were at Stella Maris. I will keep Ms. Rubino in my prayers.......

Dear friends and loved ones of Carole,
In September of 1968 I came to Stella Maris School as a brand new fourth grade teacher. I really didn't now what I was doing, but I had the amazing good fortune of having Carole Rubino as my grade partner. Carole took me under her wing and guided me through that first year. Somewhere along the way we became friends, not just grade partners. Carole taught me so many things during the time we taught together. Too many to mention here. I am the teacher I am today because of Carole Rubino. Her love of life, joy, sense of humor and LAUGH will always be with me. We all know that one of the greatest sounds in the world was Carole Rubino's laugh! All Rosemarie Romeo (another friend from Stella Maris) had to say was "Carole, I need my grades." And Carole would take a fit of laughing. The memory of it has me laughing now, through my tears.
Even though I didn't see Carole very often after she moved to Somers Point, she was always in my heart, as I know I was in hers. She will remain in my heart until we are together again.

Carol was a very special woman whom I had the pleasure of getting to know. She was graceful , kind, generous and fun loving. She wanted so little and deserved so much more. She and I shared something very special. I will always have a smile thinking of her and she does not go into the night alone, but with God and Charlie's arms wrapped around her. My sympathies to those whose life she put her fingerprint on. God Bless, my friend

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Rubino. I had the honor and priviledge of being a student of hers for both 5th and 6th grade at Stella Maris in South Philadelphia. To this day she remains one of the BEST teachers I have ever had or will ever have.

Dear Friends and loved ones of Carole, The shocking news made me numb, but then I thought about Carole and not myself. I know she has found peace and is free of pain and worry. She was my friend for over 40 years and I loved her. We had lots of great memories. Our different lifestyles lead us apart, but we remained close in heart. It has been an honor to have had the privelege of knowing her and calling her my friend. Good night Carole, Rest in Peace, Love Maria
