Albert Pierson Obituary

PIERSON, ALBERT J., 83 - of Little Egg Harbor, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. He was born in Hillside, and lived in S. Plainfield and Elmuhurst, NY before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1972. He worked as an Electrician/Mechanic for Otis Elevator for 35 years, 16 years as a foreman and 14 years servicing the elevators at Radio City Music Hall. He was a World War II Navy veteran from 1943 to 1946 and was a past member of the American Legion and a member of the Mystic Island VFW Post 316. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Albert was a very positive man and always found something good every single day. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Pierson. He is survived by his wife Gilda Pierson (nee Corso) of Little Egg Harbor, son Douglas Pierson and wife Jill of Allentown, daughter Linda McLaughlin and husband Harry, grandsons Jeff and Chris McLaughlin and step-granddaughter Kelly Cerialo. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 14, 2008 at 11am at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor, 08087 followed by burial at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Viewing hours will be held on Sunday July 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Monday from 10 to 11am at the funeral home.
