Donna & Tony-Sorry that we did not hear about John until now (just moved back from NC) He was a great friend and his end of the bar at the Tavern will be sadly empty. His picture is hung in pride on the wall for all of us to remember what we have lossed so to soon.

I am so very sorry for your loss. John was not only a friend but a relative as well. I just heard about him today (7/20/08). He certainly did live life on the edge, but enjoyed every moment of it!!! I worked for him for a bit doing his books, probably about 7 or 8 years ago. We had quite a few laughs. I will always remember him fondly. My thoughts, prayers, and love, are with you all.

My prayers are with the family for your loss. When I first met John his voice combined with his size scared me. After getting to know him, it was the complete opposite. He was always friendly, offering to help if he could in a situation. Always having a friendly smile and a hello in wawa. He will be missed

I don't even know where to begin. John's been in my life since day one (37yrs). I have many memories of him including going to Great Adventure in his old white van & getting to sit on bean bags in the back, the "free" pumpkins he'd bring on halloween (mine always being the biggest) but my favorite memory is when he stuck the neighbor boy's bike in the top of our walnut tree because he had been picking on me. My husband met John when we got married, he stopped over our house to talk w/Ron in the cut off jeans and t-shirt with the raspy voice and he had become one of my husbands best friends, someone you could ALWAYS count on weather you had broke down, needed help lifting a motor or anything that you needed. John was family and his family will always be considered family. Don't worry he is in a better place and I know that Wendi was waiting at the gates of heaven to hand him a cold beer and a cigarette.
