Michael Barry Cullum

CULLUM, MICHAEL BARRY 65, - of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008. Mr. Cullum was born in Bridgeton, son of the late Michael Leonard Cullum & Verna Elizabeth Derrick Cullum. Mr. Cullum was a Chief Warrant Officer Two in Vietnam where he served as a helicopter pilot. He was awarded The Air Medal, The Purple Heart, and The Bronze Star Medal; in addition to a Distinguished Service Medal from the State of New Jersey for distinguished meritorious service in air combat. He worked for Allegheny Commuter as a pilot and Chief Pilot at Cape May County Airport. Recently, he served as Instructor in the Federal Air Marshall Program. His hobbies included golf where he was a member of the White Oaks Country Club. He particularly enjoyed cooking at family gatherings. He is survived by his loving wife Coni Lewandowski, many family members and friends. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, at Our Lady of the Angels R.C. Church, East Mechanic Street & Garden State Parkway, Cape May Court House. Burial will follow at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM, and again on Saturday from 8:30-9:30AM at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House.
