Randolph Adams Obituary



ADAMS, RANDOLPH, "Randy", 96 - of Pleasantville, passed away on Friday, July 18th, at his home. Born in Pleasantville, he graduated from Pleasantville High School, Class of 1931. He entered the Army in April 1942 and later worked as a surveyor for many years. He was also a sergeant in the 5th Depot Supply Squadron in Europe during WWII until 1945. Randy was a member of Bethany St. John's Methodist Church for many years and was President of the Methodist Men since it started in 1957. He was also a trustee, a member of the PPRC, a member of the missionary society, the finance committee and the home department. He was the oldest member of the church and loved attending services on Sundays. He is predeceased by his mother, Catherine Adams; his father, John Adams; his brother, Ivan Adams; his first wife, Virginia (Morgan) Adams; his second wife, Caroline Adams; his daughter, Anna Mae Carmen; and his son, Job Adams. Randy is survived by his seven children; his sons: Elwood Snowden, Charles Snowden (Karen), John Adams (Linda), and Jonas Adams (Alice), all of Egg Harbor Township. His daughters: Virginia Patierno, of Egg Harbor City, Shirley Denecke, of Mays Landing, and Rebecca Kaenzig (William), of Egg Harbor City. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. A service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, at 11:00am, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Friends may call from 10:00a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Atlantic City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany St. John's Methodist Church, P.O. Box 609, Pleasantville, NJ, 08232.
