Vincent Scutti Obituary

SCUTTI, VINCENT J., SR., "JIMMY", 72, - of Cape May, and formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully Saturday, July 19, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, Vince was a resident of Northeast Philadelphia before retiring to Cape May. He worked for many years as a printer and began his career in printing with the Penn Fruit Company in Philadelphia. He later owned his own printing company and worked for, and retired from, Burgoyne Greeting Cards, Philadelphia where he was the quality control manager. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Cape May and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Council, where he was Past Grand Knight. Vince served in the U.S. Army Reserves and retired as a CSM. He enjoyed fishing and boating on "Hey Dad"; traveling with his wife and most of all being with his family. Vince is predeceased by his brother Albert Scutti and his sister Constance Ciccotelli. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Joan A. (nee Cavaretta). Three children - Stephanie (and John) Higgins of E. Norriton, PA - Susan Scutti (and Bruce Potter) of Horsham, PA - Vincent J. Scutti, Jr. (and Christina Carras) of Lansdale, PA. Three grandchildren- Michael, Nicholas and Alexandra Higgins. Brother - Thomas (and Frances) Scutti of Phila., PA. Two sisters - Vonda Bucci and Josephine (and Francis) Scallatino both of Philadelphia. Brother-in-law - Ferruccio Ciccotelli of Upper Darby, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am Thursday, July 24, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St., Cape May where there will be a viewing one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lower Township. Memorial contributions are suggested in Vince's memory to either the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Southern New Jersey Chapter, 216 Haddon Ave Suite 328, Westmont, NJ 08108-9880 or to the Christ Child Society, PO Box 882, N. Cape May, NJ 08204. (Sudak-Danaher F.H., Cape May)
