Lucy Hinton Obituary



HINTON, LUCY A., 81, - of Mays Landing, was called home on July 21, 2008. Originally from Lawrenceville, VA, Lucy moved to Newark, in 1950, where she lived for over 50 years. Lucy was a homemaker and Essex County employee. She retired from Overbrook Psychiatric Hospital in Verona, after twenty years of service. Lucy is survived by two brothers, Waverly Coleman and Justice James H. Coleman, Jr.; two children, Neda Robinson and Geno Brown; two granddaughters, Nichole Hill and Gina Pittman; two great-grandchildren, Nia and Ian Pittman, and close friends Mr. & Mrs. Lewis and Jessie Walton. In addition, Lucy will be missed by a score of relatives, dear friends, and acquaintances. Home-going services will be rendered at Serenity Funeral Home in Pleasantville on Thursday, July 22nd, 10:00AM-12:00PM, followed by Funeral Services @ 12:00PM. The interment service will be held Saturday, July 24th, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, VA at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to 2607 Falcon Court, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.
