Nancy Leddy Obituary

LEDDY, NANCY L., (NEE LEARY), 58, - of Waretown, died on July 22, 2008 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Leddy was born in Jersey City, and formerly of Beachwood before moving to Waretown in 1992. She was a graduate of Monmouth University of Long Branch where she received her Bachelor's Degree. Mrs. Leddy was employed at the Lakewood Township Building Department of Lakewood for six years as a Clerk and had been previously employed at New Jersey Bell of Toms River as a Clerk for 17 years. She was a Member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Waretown where she was a member and Treasurer of their Women's Club, worked in their Thrift Shop and was also an Usher. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Gloria Chapter #159 of Toms River and she was also a proud union worker during all of her career. Surviving is her husband of 22 years Joseph V., and one brother Robert Leary of Trenton. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 26, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Waretown. A viewing will be held on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Riggs Funeral Home 130 Route 9 North, Forked River. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan House c/o St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 367 Route 9 North, Waretown, NJ 08758
