George Dickson Obituary



DICKSON, GEORGE P. JR., 93, - of Mays Landing, passed away on July 24, 2008. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he has been a resident of Mays Landing for the past 10 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. In his leisure time, George loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies and having lunch at the Mill Street Pub. Preceded in death by his wife Ruth P. Dickson and grandson Kevin Sean, he is survived by his son Richard H. Dickson and his wife Barbara; two grandchildren: Brian D. Dickson and Christine M. Dickson; great-grandson Brian D. Dickson, Jr.; his half sister Betty-Jane Stoeckle of Ardmore, PA; and several cousins in Florida and Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 5 PM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where friends may call from 4 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Mays Landing, 5915 Parsons Row, Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Info and condolences: www.boakesfuneralhome.com
