Richard Papperman Obituary

PAPPERMAN, RICHARD CHARLES, SR., 81 - of North Wildwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2008, at home surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Mr. Papperman was born in Gloucester City on October 24, 1926. He and his wife, Delema, were married 60 years and retired to North Wildwood in the 1980's. A Navy veteran of WWII; Mr. Papperman served as a Yeoman Third Class and saw action in the Philippines before his discharge in June, 1946. Mr. Papperman attended Drexel and Temple Universities and worked for the A&P Tea Company as a Divisional Engineer working at several locations including Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD and Scranton, PA. He also worked for the Cape Professioanl Billing, Inc. of Cape May Court House; he was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church; a 32nd Degree Member of the Masonic Lodge and the V.F.W. of North Wildwood. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Anna Papperman and a brother, Robert E. Papperman. Surviving are his wife, Delema Jay (Wilson); two sons: Richard C. and his wife Crystal of Cape May Court House and Dr. Thomas W. and his wife, Deborah of Dennisville; his sisters: Ruth Norman and Bernice Ball of Virginia; two granddaughters and eight grandsons. A viewing will be on Monday, July 28, 2008, from 9:00 to 11 am at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 93rd and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, followed by his memorial service at 11 am. Interment will follow at the Calvary Baptist Cemetery, Ocean View.
