Philip Rello Obituary
RELLO, PHILIP G. 85 - of Mays Landing, passed away on July 25, 2008. Born and raised in Paterson, he was a graduate of Seton Hall College. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked in accounting for Singer Aeronautics for many years before moving to South Jersey. During his leisure time he enjoyed writing letters to the editor of The Press of Atlantic City and enjoyed watching the kids play ball at Underhill Park. Preceded in death by his wife Raffaela, he is survived by his son Philip L. Rello, Jr. of Pleasantville; three grandsons: Philip III, Michael, and Jason all of Mays Landing; and his sister Catherine McCormick of Spring Valley, NY. Services will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Atlantic Co. Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. Info and condolences: www.boakesfuneralhome.com

Dear Phil, We are saddened to learn of your father's passing. We were very fortunate to have met him twice over the past couple years at Kathy's home. We'll always remember him telling his stories and sketching a beautiful picture of a horse at Christmastime. He was a dear, sweet and loving man. May he now rest in peace. Sorry to hear of your loss Phil. Your dad was a good guy and it was so nice to see him at the kids sports watch and cheering them on. Something to be proud of.
