Mr. Lorenzi was such a great guy. I had him for 10th grade English. He was always happy and friendly as well as a great educator. I remember coming in super late from a band trip the night before and falling asleep in his class. He knew of the band trip and let me sleep. The bell woke me up and as I walked out of the class room he said, "I guess you had too much fun on the trip."

That's just one of the many great memories I have of Mr. Lorenzi.

To Michael's Family-
Our Gang Players send our deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss. No words could ever express the passion and sheer joy that Michael put into every show he designed for Our Gang Players at the Surflight Theater!! He would get so excited about something that he thought about and then when it came to life he would jump up and down with glee!! Michael will always be one of Our Gang's
" greatest stars" only now he will shine in heaven- aren't those other angels lucky?

Not having the opportunity to spend a year in the classroom of Mr. Michael Lorenzi leaves future students of the Southern Regional HS at a disadvantage. I can only hope that the spirit of one of the most brilliant, vibrant and passionate people that has ever walked the halls of that high school, as well as this earth, will be kept alive through the lives he has had the chance to inspire. I have yet to encounter a mind so wise, a heart so sweet and smile so wide…

When I think of my years with Michael at Southern Regional schools, I remember, most of all, the laughter. My memories of him are of one of the kindest, funniest, most energetic and inspired human beings that I've had the privelege of knowing. I will play my vintage copy of Chuck Mangione, and toast his passage. There is a new star in the sky, shining brightly. See you on the other side my dear friend.

Dear Lorenzi Family,
I along with Mike worked with the Hammonton High School Band Front. Mike was the funniest, kindess and one of the most dedicated people I knew. I saw him at HUP a little over two years ago and even with this terrible disease he was joking around. I will never forget him. His legacy lives on in many of the films we have of the band.
