Edward Chance Obituary
CHANCE, EDWARD W., "POPS", 64 - of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, surrounded by his family. He was born in Atlantic City, attended the local public school system. Edward was employed by the All Clean Building Services, Atlantic City and was previously employed by the hotels and casinos industry as a heavy porter. His son, Robert Chance, his father, Charles Chance and brother, Charles R. Chance all preceded him in death. Survivors: His mother, Marguerite (nee Barkley) Chance of Atlantic City; two daughters, Tracie D. Chance of Atlantic City and Lisa Thompson of Newark; four sons, Edward Chance of Atlantic City, Shawn Chance of Galloway, Warren Chance and Anthony Chance both of Salisbury, NC; His sister, Alice Oliver of Atlantic City; a very special dear friend, Debra Jenkins; His best friend, Johnnie Smith; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at Mikal's Funeral Parlor, Inc., 1033 Baltic Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may view from 9 a.m. Please sign guest book at Legacy.com or email: [email protected]
