Patricia Jordan Obituary

JORDAN, PATRICIA DAWN, 65 - of Easton, MD, On July 25, 2008, died suddenly as the result of an accident in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born June 27, 1943. Patt was a very special person who will be sadly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and all of the people who's lives she touched. As Family Law Coordinator for the Courts of Talbot County, MD, she touched many. Advocating for women and children and helping all who were in need. "The highest regard for a man's toil is not what he gets for it, but rather what he becomes by it." Patt leaves behind many loved ones: Loving husband Harry J. Jordan of Easton, MD; daughter Patricia Marie Norris and husband John of Linwood; sons Richard Norris and Kenneth Norris of Vineland; step son Don Jordan and wife Linda of Omaha, NE; step daughter B.J. Hann and husband Bob of Mercerville; sisters: June Zimmermann of Vienna, VA, Sally Kohrn and husband Ed of Severna Park MD, Marie Jenkins and husband John of Falls Church VA; brother Richard Oden and wife Katherine Of Hollywood, MD; granddaughters: Jacqueline Hann and Shannon Lee Norris and Karen Burciago of Boston, MA; godson Todd Parsons and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her parents George Allen Ham and Haseltine French Ham. Patt began her career in Vineland, where as a single mother she started her own business, Modern Careers. After relocating to MD with her husband Harry, they owned and operated Jordan Studios in Oxford, MD. Patt went on to work at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology as a Histology Technician where she distinguished herself with hard work and dedication. She found her calling in Easton, MD. As Family Law Coordinator for the Circuit Court of Talbot County. Without any formal training, Patt relied on her life experiences and her compassion for all people to excel at what she loved to do, which was helping people in any way that she could. During her tenure there, she helped to enact many programs benefiting the citizens of Talbot County. Her legacy will live on through the lives of all of the people which she has helped. She was a proud and active volunteer for many causes and organizations in and around Easton. Patt had many passions in life, with family being first and foremost. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She was an accomplished photographer and gourmet chef. Patt was very creative with talents ranging from doll making to interior design. Patt was well traveled and enjoyed the many places she visited from Italy to Alaska. Taking countless photos along the way. She loved to read and was an excellent card player. She enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing or gardening. Patt was an active member of Saint Marks UMC in Easton, Md.. Her favorite hour of the week was Sunday Services which made her feel so good. She had a deep love for god and was a very spiritual person who practiced what she preached. God will no doubt make her an angel in heaven as she was on earth. Friends may call Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at: Fellows, Heifenbein and Newman Funeral Home P.A. in Easton, MD. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 at: St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Easton, MD. Burial will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Beulah Maryland immediately following the services. I feel so blessed to have know Patt through the Disciple's Bible Study group. She provided a joyful example of living life fully. My heart goes out to everyone whom she's touched, especially Harry and her beloved granddaughter.
