Josephine Badaracco

BADARACCO, JOSEPHINE (NEE HURBAN) 91 - of Minotola, NJ passed away early Sunday morning in the SJH Reg. Med. Ctr., Vineland, NJ after an extended illness. Josephine was born and raised in New York and had lived in Buena for over 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Lillian & Joseph Hurban and the wife of the late Leon "Bill" Badaracco who died in 1986. Josephine was a graduate of Egg Harbor High School Class of 1935 after which she attended and graduated from Graystone Hospital School of Nursing in Morristown, NJ. She was employed as a clinic nurse at the Almond Colony in Vineland. In 1943 she married her husband and assisted him in the operation of their Fruit & Poultry Farm. They were renowned growers of Nectarines which they started growing in 1945. Josephine was a member of the Queen of Angels Parish, Buena Boro and was a member and past President of the Catholic War Veterans Aux. She also enjoyed the Buena Sunshine Club where she loved playing bingo and visiting the casino's. Josephine also loved to bake & crochet for family & friends. Josephine is survived by 2 brother's: Ed and wife Joan Hurban, Vineland; Fred & wife Marie Hurban, Sr., Buena; 1 niece: Karen; 5 nephews: Ed Jr., Carl, Jim, Mike and Fred Hurban as well as several great nieces and nephews. Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Queen of Angels Parish, Church of St. Michael, 504 West Ave., Minotola, NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Union Rd., E. Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumb. Co. S.P.C.A., 1244 N. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360.
