Hattie Milbourne Obituary



MILBOURNE, HATTIE 93 - of Pleasantville, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008, at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. She was born in Assawoman, VA, to the late Pill and Roxy Miller. Mrs. Milbourne lived in Pleasantville for many years where she was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Hattie retired from Our Lady's Residence, where she worked for a few years as housekeeper. She was predeceased by: her husband, Preston Milbourne; a son, Marc; four sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by: her sons, Preston Jr. (Sheryl) of Absecon, Jefferson (Brenda) of Powhatan, Virginia; and a daughter, Argenia Bailey (Lester) of Pleasantville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Fernwood and Columbia Avenues, where friends may call from 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home.

To the milbourne family, I was saddened by the news of her passing. I will never forget her smile, and the wondeful dinner rolls she use to make. She is at peace now. God will comfort you and keep you through your sad times. He knows every tear that will be shed and only he can wipe them away. God be with you in the time of your bereavement.
