Frank Douglas Gilbert Jr.

GILBERT, FRANK DOUGLAS, JR., 25, - of Pomona, passed away unexpectedly, August 9th, 2008. Frankie loved all sports, especially, football and baseball, gone through all the G.T.A.A. Programs and was a very devoted N.Y. Jets football fan. He was a graduate of Absegami High School, and loved to hang out with his friends. From, Child to Man, Frankie was very respectful to everyone he came into contact with, someone you could trust. He had his ups and downs, like everyone else, but you knew you could count on him, no matter what. Frankie had many jobs, but found his "calling" when he starting doing carpentry, being taught by his grandfather, and special friends, who took him "under their wing", to show him their little "tricks of trade", which really endeared him into that kind of work. He finally became a member of the United Brother hood of Carpenters, Local 623, and found a home there. He will be sadly missed by everyone, and loved forever. He is survived by his parents, Frank and Debbie, sister Jamie, little brother Hunter, loving grandparents Don and Lynne Wilkesman, all from Pomona, two specials friends Andy and Hector, many aunt, uncles, cousins, and the many friends he came into contact with during his short life. Funeral services for Frank will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 12 noon at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave, Absecon. With burial to follow in Germania Cemetery in the Germania Section of Galloway Township. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10am until 12 noon at the Funeral Home.
