Darius Robinson Obituary



ROBINSON, DARIUS 76, - of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, at the University of Penn. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Darius and Margurite (Webster) Robinson. He graduated from Milford High School in 1950 and then graduated from the Univ. of NH in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in music. He was married to his wife Alice (Adams) in 1955. Darius joined the Air Force in 1955 until 1957. He moved to Vineland in 1971 and worked for Sears Roebuck as a department manager for 35 years, retiring in 1993. He was a parishioner and member of the choir at Sacred Heart Church for 25 years, then most recently a member of St. Isidores. He was a member of the Greater South Jersey Chorus. Darius enjoyed sailing, collecting cameras, and most of all singing and music. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Alice (Adams) Robinson of Vineland, daughter and husband Anne and Mark Adel of Roswell, GA, daughter, Mary Alice Robinson of Wyncote, PA, son, Edward Robinson of Fallbrook, CA daughter and her husband, Christine and Greg Leinweber, daughter and her husband Patricia and James Piccone of Blackwood, son and his wife, Darius John and Kelley Robinson, Lafayette, NY and seventeen grandchildren. A church visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Isidore The Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
