Mildred Voorhees Obituary



VOORHEES, MILDRED N., 80, - of Northfield, passed away Monday in the Shore Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Linwood, she was an area resident all of her life. Mildred was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church of Somers Point, she was a member of the United Methodist Women and had attended Cape-Atlantic Christian Women's Club. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Voorhees. Mildred is survived by her two daughters; Lynn Sparks and her husband James of Linwood, and Terri Mazza of Mays Landing, her two grandchildren; Jonathan Mazza and his fiance, Thordis of Smithville, and Jennifer Okenquist and her husband, Dennis of Nottingham, NH, her great-grandson whom she referred to as "her little angel", Anthony Mazza, her brother, Howard Fluck and his wife, Leah of Media, PA and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, August 22, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial will be held in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. Arrangements are entrusted to and written condolences may be sent to: www.Adams-Perfect.com.
