Charles Christopher Kemp

KEMP, CHARLES CHRISTOPHER 56, - of Pleasantville, passed away on August 15, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born August 17, 1951 to Evelyn and Charles Kemp in Washington, DC, Charles "Chris" was raised in Jamaica, NY before moving to New Jersey in the early 1980's. He was employed by Soltz Paints, Eckerds Drugs, Shoreline Express Tours, Kramer Beverages and the Pleasantville Board of Education as a Bus Driver before his illness. Charles loved his job and was a dedicated driver and received many safety awards. Charles had a caring heart. He enjoyed traveling back to New York to spend time with his dear Aunt Virginia and his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed old movies, shows from the 70s doing crossword puzzles and driving. He had good sense of humor. Charles gave his life to Christ during his illness. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn, his Mother Evelyn Gray, mother-in-law Barbara Jones, children; Charles (Squeek), Tacita (Toddy), Christine (Chrissy), Freda (Nikki), Christopher, Keith; Stepchildren Jameel Terrell, Kisha Jones; Sisters: Juanita Boatwright, Phydra Banks, Brother Howard Gray, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring co-workers and friends, such as Mrs. Marionette Todd and Connie Evans. Services will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church 353 S. New Rd, Pleasantville @ 11:00am on Saturday August 23, 2008;where family and friends may view from 9:00am -11:00am. Interment: Mt.
