Rose Castaldi Obituary

CASTALDI, ROSE 95, - of West Hartford, CT, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at John Dempsey Hospital and Medical Center in Farmington, Connecticut. A life-long resident of Ocean City, Rose was the daughter of the late John and Benedetta (nee Trofa) Castaldi. Miss Castaldi was a Floral Assistant at the Spinning Wheel Florist in Ocean City for nearly 30 years before her retirement in 1995. She was a member of St. Augustine's Parish in Ocean City. Rose enjoyed basketball and bowling. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Kelly, of Pennington, her granddaughters Annie Kelleher of Canton, Connecticut and Sheila Bauer of Boxborough, MA, and her grandsons, John Kelleher of San Francisco, CA and David Kelly of Pennington, as well as eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 22 at 10:00 AM at St Augustine's Church in Ocean City. Burial will be in Seaside Cemetery, Marmora. Vincent Funeral Home of Canton, Connecticut is assisting the family with the arrangements.
