STANLEY, ALPHONSO J., SR., "AL", 76, - of Atlantic City, departed this life on August 26, 2008, at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus. He was born in Atlantic City and attended the local public school system and graduated from Atlantic City High School and the Atlantic City Vocational-Technical School. He was employed by United Exposition in Atlantic City for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Lillian Neil and Abner and Nannie Driggins; his sisters, Ruth Fraizer and Charlene Neil. Survivors: His loving wife, Shirley M. Stanley of Atlantic City; His son, Alphonso J. Stanley, Jr. of Atlantic City; His daughters, Patricia Stanley- Coursey and her husband, Edward and Shirley A. Stanley all of Atlantic City; His brother, Frank Neil, Jr. of North Carolina; His sisters, Alveda Stanley of Galloway, Wilma Dorsey of Egg Harbor Township and Dorothy Woodall of California; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Mikal's Funeral Parlor, Inc., 1033 Baltic Ave., Atlantic City, where friends may call from 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Atlantic County Veteran's Cemetery, Estell Manor.
