Claire M. Shaw

SHAW, CLAIRE M., - of Margate, on August 29,2008. Born in Philadelphia, she was educated in Atlantic City. She later moved with her husband to Washington, DC, where she worked for the U.S. Department of State. Upon her retirement, as a Cultural Affairs Officer, she returned to Margate where she has resided for the past 42 years. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick in 2002 and is survived by a nephew, Patrick Fitzgerald (Guler) of Maryland, and a great niece, Dr. Diane Shaw-Dworkin (Glen) of New Jersey. Viewing Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 7300 Ventnor Ave., Ventnor. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, Margate, Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place Thursday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
