To Raymond's family: The Hampton family, former owners of the LOG RESTAURANT, in West Atlantic City, Send sincerest condolences. Raymond worked as a great cook for 30 years for my father, Lawrence Hampton, until 1983 when the business was sold. I would stop to see Raymond when I visited the Crab Trap. he always remembered me and our family. Many memories of his smile.
Thank you.

I just saw raymond walking down Tennessee Ave. last week. I started to stop and talk to him because I hadn't seen him in a while. He used to come past my house every day and talk to my dog. He would tell me how much he loved Champ, my dog everytime he saw me. He loved his dog so much that he gave up his residence at the Elliot House where he had resided for many, many years just to keep his dog. I used to call him buddy because that is who he was, a buddy to anyone who accepted him for the kind gentleman that he was. I will miss Raymond dearly he had a heart of gold. Heaven has welcomed him home with open arms. RIP Buddy.
