Edna McClaskey Obituary



MCCLASKEY, EDNA E., (PAT), 89, - of Egg Harbor Township, entered into rest on Saturday, August 30, 2008. Pat was born on March 17, 1919 in Lindenwald, where she attended Haddon Heights High School. She relocated to Brigantine, in 1950 where she worked at Uncle Bob's Restaurant in Atlantic City. In 1979 she moved to Egg Harbor Township where she worked at ACC in Mays Landing and Stockton State College in Pomona until her retirement. Pat was an avid fisherman, boater and traveler. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, hooking rugs, canoeing on local rivers, working in her yard and garden and was a devoted Phillies fan. She volunteered her time on Christmas day to serve dinner to inmates at local prisons. She is predeceased by her husband Charles F. McClaskey and sister Cora Conover. She is survived by her children Charlotte Green of Williamstown, Preston F. McClaskey of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Ann (Dolly) McClaskey of Egg Habor Township, as well as 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family. A celebration of life will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, Saturday, September 6 from 4 -5 p.m. Burial services will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or the SPCA of Atlantic County. Pat,
I only knew you as a little boy chasing seagulls and pale into the water at the beach 1972. You and your husband were very nice to my father Dave, the one time we visited. You will certainly be missed. God will welcome you with open arms for all the good you've done.

My prayers go out the family and loved ones of Mrs. McClaskey. It was truly a pleasure knowing her and she will be greatly missed. I have often thought of her and inquired about how she was doing. This is sad news.
