To Lori's family, You will find our daughter,Marianne Adams Smith's, obit in the Press the same day as Lori's. Marianne passed away on Sept 1st, after a long bout with cancer. Marianne worked for quite a few years at the Linwood Convalescent Home as a tech, where she took care of Lori. I guess it will be a comfort to both of us to know that Marianne will still be looking after Lori and they will each have someone that they know and enjoy. I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, but I truely do understand and I will keep your family in my prayers. Jeanette & Harry Adams (parents) and Bobby & Ashley Smith (Children)

MY SISTER LORI......
Lori was the heart of our family, teaching us love and compassion. Lori had every reason to be angry or sad about her condition.
Instead she embraced life and lived it to her fullest, what an
inspiration!! I feel as if part of my heart is broken FOREVER!!!!
I will miss our talks over coffee, but especially our nail appointments!
LOVING YOU ALWAYS AND MISSING YOU FOREVER!
Your Sister, Hope

I remember Lori growing up down the street from me on Wildwood ave. I watched her grow into a very smart and pleasent young lady. I will always remember her mother bringing her into church and the last time was our church barbaque two weeks ago. My heart and prayers go out to all of your family.

Music, when soft voices die

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

My husband and I were deeply saddened when we heard the news about Lori's passing. My husband's mother, Elaine, is a resident at Linwood and whenever we went to visit her we would see Lori as well. I would tell her she was a spot of sunshine and compliment her on her brightly colored socks and cheery smile. She then told me that when she wore lipstick she was in a happy mood. We never saw her when she wasn't in one. Lori was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and will be missed very much. Our prayers are with all of you at this time.

My heart is breaking. Lori was a regular, faithful caller to the Saturday morning radio show. Every week she would call and ask for her Paul Simon "Kodachrome". We last saw Lori on her birthday. After one visit and talk with her, I never looked at the world with the same eyes again.

She worshiped the nurses and staff that tended to her unique needs.

The world is so full of hatred and ignorance, I'm just crestfallen at the worlds' loss of this most magnificent person.

Blessings and comfort to the family.

Lori was my buddy during the MANY years I worked at Linwood Care Center. She was a constant in my office daily helping me with my work, keeping me company and making everyone laugh in North Wing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Lori will NEVER be forgotten, as she is in the hearts of all of us who were blessed to know her and spend time with her.

Hello - I wanted to send my condolences to your family on Lori's passing. Lori was a friend to my mother, Elaine Schuele, who lives at Linwood Care Center. As many times as we've been there to see Mom, we've always looked forward to seeing Lori also. She was very kind to Mom and all of my family. Every time I'd see her, the first thing she would tell me was "I like your Mom!" Please know that we all have many kind memories of her, and will keep your family in our prayers.
