Jacquelyn Tuttle Obituary

TUTTLE, JACQUELYN, 81 - of Cape May Court House, passed away on September 1, 2008 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born January 30, 1927 to Herbert and Clare Campbell. Jacquelyn was bright, beautiful, elegant, witty, charming and accomplished in many areas. She graduated from Middle Township High School and went on to model high fashions in New York City for Ford and Barbizon agencies. She was a classically trained pianist with the voice of a nightingale with which she entertained our troops at the Cape May U.S.O. during World War II, and again in Europe and Africa in the early 1950s. For many years, "Jacquie" was legal secretary for her father's law practice in Cape May Court House. She loved to dance and taught at Arthur Murray Studios. In later years, she owned and operated Tuttle Real Estate, plus a lovely gift shop in Stone Harbor. Jacquie loved nature and animals, wild and domestic. She was rarely without a canine companion. She also loved Cape May County, its beautiful beaches and blue ocean. No matter where she lived or traveled she always returned. A service of love, memories and celebration of Jacquelyn's life will be held Sunday, September 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Head of the River Cemetery on Route 50 in Estell Manor. Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic-Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, NJ 08203, as a lasting tribute to Jacquelyn.
