Maureen Gehringer Obituary



GEHRINGER, MAUREEN B., (NEE PROFERA), 69 - of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Astoria, Long Island City, New York and moved to Egg Harbor City with her family at the age of fourteen. She was a graduate of Egg Harbor City High School Class of 1956. Maureen was a former waitress at Zaberers and the Vienna Inn Restaurants for many years. Her most important job was as Administrative Assistant at the Overseas Ministries Study Center in Ventnor for over ten years. Her grea happiness was being with her grandkids and happy times with her family. She enjoyed country dancing with her husband, John, for over ten years, which included great people, wonderful music and hundreds of nights of happiness and fun. Maureen is predeceased by her husband, John E. Gehringer (2007) and her parents, Salvatore and Ellen Profera. She is survived by her children: Debbie Argenbright and her husband, Butch of Egg Harbor City; John Gehringer, Jr. of Egg Harbor City; Bruce Gehringer of Cologne; Jeff Gehringer and his wife, Sarah of Cologne and Michael Gehringer and his wife, Sandy of Egg Harbor Township; her sister, Louise "Toni" Frohman of Absecon and her brother, Richard Profera of Egg Harbor City. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kasey and Lee Argenbright; Kevin and Tyler Gehringer; Jeff and Alyssa Gehringer; Michael, Brian and Brianna Gehringer and other loving family members. A viewing and visitation with family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609) 965-0357, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp No Worries c/o YMCA of Burlington County, 59 Centerton Road., Mt.
