Henry Frank Obituary



FRANK, HENRY "TED" 79 - of Milmay, section of Buena Vista Twp. passed away on Sunday morning at home where he had been under the care of family & hospice. Ted was born and raised in Milmay where he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Dorothy C. (Hensel) & William Henry Frank. He was predeceased by his brother Bob and brother-in-law Merrill Ivins. Before retiring in 1979 Ted was employed as a Para mutual clerk at the Freehold Race Track. He had previously worked with his brothers in the Frank Brothers Construction Co. He was a member of the Milmay Vol. Fire Co. where he served as Fire Chief & Commissioner. He was a N.J. Forest Fire Warden and operator of C-16 power wagon & plow for many years. Ted also served the Township as the Building Inspector, Building Planner/Zoning Officer and his county as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He also played as the pitcher on the Frank brother's softball team & sponsored children's softball teams over the years. Ted also sang with the BTB Ranch Hands a musical group consisting of Bobby, Teddy, Dot & Bucky. He is survived by his wife of 59 years.: Mary (Profeta); 3 brothers: William E. Frank, Milmay, Carl R. Frank, Nesbitt, Md., Kenneth P. Frank, Alloway, NJ; 4 sisters: Dorthea "Dot" Benson, Milmay, Clara M. Ivins, Milmay, Evelyn J. Lyon, Marietta, Ga., Kathleen C. Sheldon, Lincoln, De; sister-in-law: Martha Frank, Milmay; great niece whom he gave away, Shannon (Capriotti) & husband Andrew Merlock, Jr. as well as many nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ with burial to follow in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery. Relatives & friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Pancoast's.
