William Schaule Obituary

SCHAULE, WILLIAM V., 79 - passed away on August 31, 2008 at the Perryville Veterans Hospital in Maryland. Mr. Schaule was a lifelong resident of the Wildwoods. He graduated from Wildwood High School class of 1946 and immediately, with four of his classmates, enlisted in the U.S. Navy for a two year tour of duty. He was predeceased in 1992 by his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Elsie (nee Blade). He and his family spent 25 years away from here during which time he worked in the printing, paper manufacturing, and electronics industries. His business travels routinely took him to several areas of the world. In 1980 he and his wife returned here and resumed residence in Cape May and Wildwood. Bill was very active in the Masonic fraternity and allied organizations. He was a 54-year member of Hereford Lodge #177 of Wildwood Crest and a Past Master therein; 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite bodies of the Valley of Southern New Jersey; Past Grand Tall Cedar of Cape May County Forest #15 Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Past President of Cape May County Shrine Club; Past Potentate of Crescent Shrine, Burlington, NJ; Past Grand Chaplain 24th District Grand Lodge F&AM of the State of New Jersey; member of Royal Order of Scotland; past member of Royal Order of Jesters Crescent Court #64, Trenton. He is survived by his three sons, B. Will of Salisbury, MD, Brian (and Doris) of Bel Air, MD, John (and Judy) of Downingtown, PA, and six adoring grandchildren: Brian, Jr., Evan, Danielle, Allison, Samantha, and Zachary. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 AM at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood. There will be a viewing Friday evening 7 to 9 pm with Masonic Service at 8 pm and also Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Lower Township.
