Albert Keenan Obituary

KEENAN, ALBERT J. "AL", 74 - of Cape May, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 6, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, Al was a longtime Cape May County area resident, living in Rio Grande and most recently Cape May. Al was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam. He honorably served in the Marine Corps for 30 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Dramis Marine Corps League; the VFW Post 3509, Wildwood and the American Legion 0184, Wildwood.

He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary Keenan; his brother Arthur Keenan and his step-son Jack Young.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Margaret "Peg" Keenan; sister, Sally (and David) Scaggs; brother, Joseph (and Mary Ann) Keenan; two step-children, Carole (and Pedro) Canale-Mayet, Robert Young; also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:30 am Friday, September 12th, in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Al's memory to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, Alzheimer's Unit (attn: Activities Dept.), 524 N. West Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360.
