To My Dear Brother,
Although we lived so far apart, we loved each other dearly. In the last few years I was able to come up there for a month and then you were able to return to Tampa to visit me for a month each year. My whole family loved their Uncle Harold.
I am going to miss having your telephone calls every Sunday. You were such a wonderful, kind, thoughtful man and I am glad you were my brother.
Love to you forever,
your loving sister Marge

Poppop,
You were a kind, gentle and loving man, Words can not express the loss we feel right now, I know in time the grief will pass but will never be gone. You made a such an inpact on our lives and we will forever be grateful of the time we had with you. Your great grandchildren speak of you often and were looking forward to having you come live with us. How many 5 and 7 year olds do you know that would give up their toy room! I wish we could have gotten you home to your new room, but God had bigger plans for you! Im sure that Nanny baked a cake and was waiting for you at the gates when you arrived! Go dance with your sweatheart and look down over us! Enjoy the cake with Aunt Dot and Tell Uncle Joe and Nanny that we love them and shower them with the memories that you made while they were gone. Until we meet again, enjoy life everlasting with Nanny! We love you!

My Uncle Harold had a wonderful personality and was loved by all who knew him. A true story while visiting my Mom and his Sister Marge in Florida. A young woman knocked on the front door in the early evening and asked to use the phone and bathroom. My Mom being the trustworthy person she is let her in the house while Uncle Harold sat on the couch. The young women went to the bathroom and used the phone and after she left they realized that Uncle Harold's wallet was missing out of his room. My Mom called the Police and when they arrived and asked my Mom what the intruder looked like she said light brown hair but couldn't remember anything else. After all his Sister was 92 years old. Well, they asked uncle Harold and He went on to tell the Police the color of her hair and Length, Blouse and color as well as the color of her shorts and length of those also. When I asked him about being so observant he replied that when the young women came in the house he lost interest in the closed caption on the television. My Sister Pat and I laughed until tears came flowing out.
