Martin Best Obituary

BEST, MARTIN, SR., 74 - of Palmyra, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2008, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Martin was born on August 20, 1934 in Atlantic City. He was the oldest boy of eight children to the late Evans and Beatrice Best. Martin was also preceded in death by sisters, Clarice Weeks and Lyris Cannon. He is survived by his wife, Camilla Best and three children: Caroline Best, Martin Best Jr., and Deborah Best; four grandchildren: Nicole Chapman, Christopher Best, Martin "Eathan" Best, III and Janaya Mott; two brothers: James Best and Gerald Best; three sisters: Louise Price, Miriam Haynes and Myrtle Wilkes and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Martin Best will be on view at the House of Hills, 1000 Saint Johns Pl., Brooklyn, NY on September 11, 2008 from 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral procession to the interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY will depart at 10 a.m. on September 12, 2008 from the House of Hills. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Leukemia Association.
