Tommy, Kevin and Lisa,
I was sad to get the call from Tom yesterday. My dad was so proud of his little brother. Even though the Air Force kept us from living close to you, I grew up knowing what a great athlete my "Uncle Dick" was, and my dad constantly told us stories about how Richard could have played professional baseball.
I was happy I had the chance to see him for the last time this past spring. When I looked into his eyes, I saw my dad again. I know what a great father he was. I know how hard it is to say goodbye.
May we proudly carry on the Bleiler family name with the loving memory of Edwin (Bobby), June and now Richard Bleiler.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything I can do, please ask. I want to be part of any memorial or gathering that you may have up here in Boston.
With love in family,
Ed Bleiler

I was very sorry to learn about the passing of a very dear friend from my days at Hyde Park High School.
We had our 50 year reunion last September and Dicky (as we all called him) was sorely missed.
Please accept my sincere sympathies for a very special person who will forever be etched in my fondest memories and that of my classmates of a time that once was.
