Adam Stempkowski Obituary

STEMPKOWSKI, ADAM, 80 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on September 17, 2008 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Jersey City, Adam served as a Sergeant in the Korean War Conflict. He was an avid sports fan his entire life, as well as an outstanding athlete, and was a member of the Bergen County Baseball Hall of Fame. He is a retired proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 623. During his retirement years, he enjoyed recreational crabbing with his family. He is preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart and wife, Helen (Ladosz) and his daughter Patricia Jenkins. Adam is survived by his son John of Egg Harbor Township; his daughter Susan Procovic; grandson Adam Procovic of Somers Point; and granddaughter Priscilla Jenkins of Ewing Township, formerly of Egg Harbor Township. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11am at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.
