Jules Daniels Obituary
DANIELS, JULES R., 54 - of Brigantine, passed away September 21, 2008 peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Jules was born in Atlantic City and raised in Brigantine. Jules was a former Brigantine Lifeguard, a member of the planning board, a referee for football and basketball. He was a life long surfer and sports fan. He also a member of St. Thomas Parish, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Club. He was employed as a painter for the Sands Casino. He was predeceased by his father John Sr., a brother John Jr. and sister-in-law Johann (nee Martin). Surviving are his loving wife Bonnie (nee Suksangrat); two daughter Jennifer of Virginia and Julianne of Brigantine; his mother Margaret of Brigantine; a brother Commander James V. Daniels and wife Amy (nee Fisher) of Virginia; also two nephews, four nieces and his best friends, his dogs Chance and Jack. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jules' Life Celebration and viewing on Tuesday September 23, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3212 Brigantine Blvd, Brigantine, NJ, and on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church 331 8th St. South in Brigantine with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

Jen,
Losing such a significant spirit in your life is devastating. Take solice in the fact that he is no longer suffering. Know that he is in heaven happier than we can imagine. I'd like to think that my daughter Beth (HSHS 96) was there to welcome him to heaven and is showing him where the b-ball court are right now. They shared a true passion for the game and I think they will get along jut fine.
Always remember, your dad is truely in his happy place, happier than we can imagine.

I had heard about Jules for the last 20 some years. I only met Jules 18 months ago at Amy's party. A kind soul and funny man. His spirit left an imprint for all. May his family soon find the Joy after the Sorrow.

Big Julie ! Going to miss that infectious smile and great person walking down the beach. We go way back - Playboy Hotel Days, neighbors, buddies. I worked with Jules back in the day at Playboy. We sat box together, we laughed alot, (with his huge smile) and carried on, as young men do. I remember when he met Bonnie and how head over heels he as for her.
I lost contact with him back in the 80's as life took us down different roads. I bumped into him years later at the Sands, with paint brush in hand, white painter's pants....the whole nine yards. We looked at each other and howled !
God bless you, buddy. Someday, we'll see each other again.

I worked with Jules at the Playboy Casino for about 7 years. I will always remember his contagious smile and the many laughs we would always share. I considered him a close friend those years.
Many years later I spent a night with him after he had beat cancer for the first time. I had flown in from Las Vegas where I live now.I had just survived a heart attack so together we had a lot of hope.
I remember how courageous he seemed that night and determined to help fellow cancer survivors. It was very inspiring to hear him talk and I saw another side of my friend that night.
