TWIFORD, LORRAINE A. (ZEIGLER) 66 - of Egg Harbor Township. After a lengthy illness, our loving merciful God took Lorraine home on September 18, 2008. Faith and trust in God was what got her through the last few difficult years of many health problems. To know Lorraine was to love her. To all she knew she had a kind, loving, and giving heart. She will be greatly missed by all. Lorraine was born June 21, 1942 in Atlantic City. She was raised most of her life in Linwood. She married and moved to Orlando, FL, where she lived for over 35 years. During those years, she worked as a nurse and enjoyed life with her wonderful, loving husband, Merle, until the time of his death. She moved back to New Jersey to be near all her family and during that time she met and married her loving husband, Clarence (Ed) Twiford, who loved and cared for her during some of the most difficult times of her life. Lorraine is predeceased by her loving mother, Mary Camp; step-dad Daniel Camp; and father Jessie Zeigler. Also by her loving husband, Merle Mathes; sister-in-law Patty Mathes; and brother-in-law Bill Twiford. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clarence (Ed) Twiford of EHT; brother Wayne and wife Fran Zeigler of Northfield; step-daughters: Kim Rhoden of Sumter, SC, Candice Marshall of EHT, Brenda Keller of Mays Landing, and Robin Parker of Dalzell, SC; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Also, sister and brother-in-law, Ginny and Joe Jacoby of Galloway Twp.; sister in law Alma Dozler; and nieces Romona, Peggy and Ann, all of Elizabeth City, NC; cousins Helen and Bud Wagner of Troy, NY; her sister-in-law, Geri Delzingaro of Orlando, FL; brother-in-law Barry Mathes of Gainesville, FL; her loving aunt, Margaret Costello of Ventnor; along with many cousins who loved her very much, among them, Edith Ayres of EHT who was not only her cousin but was, like Lorraine said, also her sister. They shared many great memories. Family and friends may call to share a time of remembering and celebrating Lorraine's life on Wednesday, September 24th at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, from 7:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.
