Lucille Feldman Obituary

FELDMAN, LUCILLE I., (LAZAROFF), 69, - of Ventnor, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of the Atlantic City/Ventnor/Margate area, and lived in Ventnor on the bay for the last 17 years. "Cile", as her close friends liked to call her, loved being with her, family and loved ones. She attended bingo frequently, was ardent reader, and enjoyed lounging by the pool on warm summer days to watch her grandsons swim and play. Lucy was kind and hospitable; she made many friends wherever she went. She graduated Atlantic City High School in 1957 and afterwards sought gainful employment with Twin Glass, where she met her late husband, Alan G. Feldman; who preceded her passing in April of 1980. She was later employed at the Plaza Condominiums on the beach in Atlantic City for a number of years, and then at the Trump Taj Mahal in the Facilities department. But her grea accomplishment was her role as Grandmother. No one could ask for a better more caring "Granmom" than Lucy. She was never too busy to help, she gave rides, attended school meetings, helped with homework, and supported her family in every way possible. She enjoyed attending the Ventnor Pirate's football games, where she faithfully cheered on both her grandsons when they played, and until she became too ill to attend. She is survived by her beloved son, Michael I. Feldman of Ventnor; her profoundly adored grandsons, Jacob 13, and Brandon 9, both of which were her grea joys in this life. She also leaves behind two brothers; Robert Lazaroff of Northfield and Lester Lazaroff of Egg Harbor Township, her two stepchildren David Feldman of Florida and Mindy Feldman also of the Atlantic City area. Lastly she is survived by her daughter in law, Grace Feldman of Ventnor who cared for her in the last days of her life, along with her brother Robert and son Michael, and loved her, as did all her family, more than words can say. Services will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood where friends may call from 10:00 am. Burial, Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona.
