Dear Joan - I was so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. He was such a good buddy to me going back to the early 60s. I so enjoyed meeting you and seeing Jim when we had lunch at the Krausses in Kelly Greens two years ago.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Joan and the Currens family. I have known Jim for over sixty years - from my early days in Elkins Park (we both attended Cheltenham High School) to more recently as members of the Ocean City Fishing Club. I'll remember him as "one of the fishing guys", his participation in the Boys and Girls Tournaments, his help with Club projects, and his attendance at our annual Christmas party. May we think of friendship and all the good times with Jim as we honor him in our memories.

Our deepest of sympathies to Joan and the Currens family: I have many fond memories of "Uncle Jimmy" all the way back to my childhood and into adulthood. Including the first year my wife Donna and I were married, we rented the 2nd floor of Jim's duplex from him. He was the closest of friends with my Dad (Charlie) for almost 70 years. We will all miss you Uncle Jimmy. Rest in peace.

I am Buck Brumfield, once of Elkins Park (1934-1960) and briefly a volunteer fireman for the EP fire company. Jimmy was a decent fellow and always nice to me, youthful and energetic.
Jimmy stood out as a person to admire. His family is fortunate to have had him in their lives.

Dear Joan: Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss of Jim. We will miss him terribly during the winter months here in Florida. I will always think of Jim when I pour my glass of Grey Goose. We hope to see you in a few months.

As a rookie in the EPFC, I can vividly remember Jimmy yelling into a burning building to tell me that fire had flashed behind me. Without his help, things could have gone very wrong. Jimmy was a great mentor and will be fondly remembered. Rest in Peace Jimmy!
