William Terranova Obituary

TERRANOVA, WILLIAM J., 88 - of Mays Landing, passed away on September 22, 2008 at Mainland Manor. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, he lived in the Oaks of Weymouth for the past 20 years. He Served in the U.S. Army During WWII and was a life member of VFW Post 5043 of Mullica Township. He was an employee of the Stella D'oro Biscuit Co. for 30 years. He will be remembered for putting smiles on the faces of family, friends, and those he met along the way through his love of life and his humor. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his wife of 62 years, Pauline C.; three daughters: Carol Lee Holz and husband Richard of Palm Harbor, FL, Paulette Vocaturo and husband Angelo of Peekskill, NY, and Virginia Savino and husband Michael of Eastchester, NY; and three grandchildren: Kim Marie Sclafani, Christine Lusita, and Valerie Savino. Viewings will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, September 25, 9:30-10 a.m. at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Atlantic Co. Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. (Info and condolences: www.boakesfuneralhome.com)
