I can hardly believe it's been 12 yrs. since Dave left us. He was Wildwood's most prized possession. Not a day went by that Dave didn't brighten someone's life. He was Wildwood's Ambassador for decades. I'm so fortunate that he was close to all of my family and I knew him most of my life. Wildwood will never be the same without his smiling face and wonderful personality.

Mr. Snyder always called me "Callahan" when we saw each other on the beach. My Dad Jack Callahan and my Uncle Bill Callahan all grew up together. What a legend!!! What memories!!! I surely smile when I think of Mr. Snyder.

The rock hand shake and how are you smile will never be forgotten! Dave touched many of our hearts that worked on the beach from Cape May to Anglesea. He is truly "The Legend". I hope when I get to heaven he's working the door, maybe I'll get in.

Dave . . . you'll really be missed! I've got a lot of great memories of Dave. The jokes, the laughs, the smiles. He always seemed to be in a good mood, and it was always great having him come up to your stand or the truck. We'll always remember you, Dave--walking briskly along the shoreline in your white shorts, comb tucked into the back! God Bless!

What an extra special guy you were, Dave. First met you back in 1975 and you almost instantly became a good and close friend. You were always there with a laugh and plenty of knowledge about the Wildwoods. You'll be missed and never forgotten, Dave. God bless you.

Wildwood will never be the same without Dave Snyder. He epitomized what a gentleman should be. He always had a smile and a joke for you. He used to watch out for me when I worked late and walked home and made me feel secure. He & my Uncle John were the best doormen in town. I'm so sorry I didn't get to see you on my last visit to Wildwood. You were part of our family for decades. Say hello to my parents and uncles when you see them upstairs. Sympathy to the Snyder family, you lost a gem.

Uncle Dave,
You were always there for my mom and my uncle ever since they were young. And ever since Nikaela and I were born, you were there for us too. Every Christmas and every birthday you never thought twice about giving us a little gift. You supported me and my sister in every sport we ever did and made sure we were always active. In every sport, and every activity i do, i'll always be thinking of you. Uncle Dave, you wil always be in my heart. I love and miss you dearly.

My uncle Dave was the absolute BEST. He was a man of infinite compassion and great integrity and I am honored that my father and mother (Harry and Del) saw fit to name me after him. Cathy and I will miss you greatly. We will always cherish the times spent with you during our annual visits during Thanksgiving week. I will treasure the memories of the hours we spent trying to stump each other about sports and history trivia. God has seen fit to bring you home; no doubt to help St. Peter at the "Gates" and I am sure that in short order St. Peter will be wearing shorts year round. I love you Uncle Dave and I will truly miss you. You will always be in our prayers.

Uncle Dave I will miss you. I was happy to see you last Thanksgiving after so many years and still ask me if I was sucking my thumb. Most of all I remember all those summers with my Grandparents Harry & Del Snyder and how I couldn't get you in that pool to race me. You will always be in my heart. Love Your Great-Niece Becky

The most handsome man to walk the boards and streets , guard the club entrances (next to my Uncle John Stanbach - literally at the Oasis!) and warm the hearts of all who came in contact with him. He will never be forgotten and will be missed by many. Aunt Vee will miss his morning visits to deliver her the paper. So very sorry to see Dave go. Peace and prayers to all his family and friends.

Uncle Dave was a spectacular person. He never once forgot my birthday, or any special occassion. He was a person who always cheered me up no matter what. We can all agree he had the biggest heart, and he cared about everyone.
You will be missed so much.
I love you Uncle Dave.

Dave was always a welcome site on the beach. He was like the Sightseer, you could tell the time of day by his daily vigil from rock pile to rock pile. He always had a smile and a joke for the lifeguards. His favorite was "Who played for the Phillies, the Sixers, and the Flyers?" After watching you squirm for the answer, his eyes would light up, he'd smile, he'd shake your hand and say "Larry Ferrari", and off he'd go to the next stand to stump them. Thanks Dave for the good times. God Bless

Dave was a legend, and always wearing his shorts, I worked with him at the Oasis night club in the 70's. He was a gentleman and it was always a pleasure to see him at Wa Wa. Wildwood has changed so much, but Dave was always the same great person, I always enjoyed seeing him, it always reminded me of the old Wildwood Daze..He will be at the golden gates today, teaching the new guys how to work the door.

I know him by his big heart, others may know him of his white hair, shorts, his smile and joking with everyone. He remember all ! You could ask him any question about sports and he would know the right answer.
My Uncle was a best friend, a part of my daily life with me and my family. I can't imagin life without him. I can't imagin the Wildwoods will ever be the same. He brought such goodness to all and love wherever he went. He has touched all of our lives. I miss you!
