Flora Sharp Obituary



SHARP, FLORA MAY, "TOOTSIE", 85 - of Vineland, passed away Friday at the Millville Center in Millville after being in failing health for last few years. Born on August 21, 1923 in Vineland, she was the daughter of the late Ethel and Maurice Fleming. She was a resident of Vineland for most of her life. Mrs. Sharp was a homemaker, and she volunteered with various organizations which provided support to those mentally retarded. She enjoyed caring for her family and going along on car rides through the local countryside. Wife of the late Frank D. Sharp, she is survived by two sons: Gary Edgar Sharp of San Diego, CA, and Herbert Sharp of Vineland; two daughters: Debra and Bonnie Sharp, both of Vineland; four sisters: Evelyn Flamma of Vineland, Violet Schaffer of Elmer, Virginia Zahner of Vineland, and Mildred Zahner of Portland, OR; a brother Carl Fleming of Vineland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m. Tuesday, in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Rev. Ernest Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Two Princess Road, Suite D., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to SJH HospiceCare, PO Box 160, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
