I currently worked with Rich and will have to say he was a great guy. He spoke about his girls quite often as well as Va Tech. It is so hard to believe he is gone...I guess God works in mysterious ways...it is not for us to understand. Rich and his smile will be missed greatly. Rich's family can definitely be proud of the person he was.

Dear Johnna, Victoria and Patricia,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. My brothers and I spent many happy weeks at the beach with Richie, Mark and Ed, and all the other cousins. I have very fond memories of the softball games our extended family always played in Wildwood. We will all miss Rich and we are very sorry for your loss.

I just returned from a long trip and got the news. I love Rich more than a brother, and he was truly a best friend any guy in high school could have. Our prayers are with you all. Heaven just got one of the very, very best...ever.

I was privileged to share an office with Rich. He was the glue that bound everyone together here. We shared many interesting conversations. I will miss his wit, wisdom and mischevious sense of humor.

Our deepest sympathies to Rich's immediate and extended family. The Rose boys were the same ages as the Wheaton boys and spent many summers in Wildwood together growing up. I'll always remember Rich "walking on his toes".

Wow. I don't even know what to say. I knew Rich when he worked for TMC/GST on contract to Lockheed Martin in Fairmont. He was a good guy, worked hard. He had pics of his daughters on his desk and I think a wedding photo of himself and his wife- I don't remember clearly now. If Rich ever complained about a fellow that talked out loud to himself in a nearby cube that would be me. Wow. 45 is pretty young. Heaven's not a bad place to be, though- better than here on Earth, certainly.

I grew up with Richard in North Wildwood and my fondest memory of him is at the beach when we little. We'd build castles and he always had the best matchbox cars to drive around our sandy property. I attended Wildwood High School with Rich and we graduated together in 1981 and I know these many years later as I enter my 19th year in the practice of law (4th as a Prosecutor with the Cumberland County New Jersey Prosecutor's Office), that his friendship throughout high school played a significant part of my success today and for that I am truly greatful.
