Wayne C. Lillemon

LILLEMON, WAYNE C., 93 - of Rio Grande, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at the Cape Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wellsburg, ND, the son of the late Willie J. and Cora Anderson Lillemon where he was raised and attended rural schools. He was a resident of Rio Grande for fifty two years. He was the former owner of the Cape May County Gas Company. He enjoyed working with his hands and after retirement, he became a cabinetmaker. He enjoyed being with his great-grandchildren; watching the Lawrence Welk Show and The Price is Right. He was a former member of the Villas Fishing Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Mildred Twisty; a daughter, Diane (Jack) Young; a son, Dennis (Deanna); a brother, Jone of Oregon; his grandchildren: Randy (Maureen) Young, Krista (Rich) Cornell; Dennis, Jr. and Derek Lillemon; four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Gavin and Sean; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers: Ernest, Marvin, Gordon and Charles and two sisters: Garnet Hendrickson and Arlene Weber. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 11:00 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
