Edmund Szwajkowski Obituary
SZWAJKOWSKI, JR. EDMUND V. 84 - of Somers Point, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 3, 2008. Born in Philadelphia PA, son of the late Edmund Sr. and Anna(nee Sekula), he graduated Masbaum High School in Philadelphia. He proudly served with the US Navy during WWII. After retirement from Betz Labs in Trevose, PA, Ed moved to Somers Point, NJ; first as a summer resident at Corletto Marina, then full time. He loved to fish. Ed was as a man of strong family values and an avid volunteer. Until his health failed, he was a volunteer with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, JW Hallahan Executive Board, and lastly AARP and Friendly Seniors in Ventnor. Ed left behind his loving wife of 62 years, Edith,(Tryon) and 4 children, Tina DeWees(Mike) of Somers Point, Geri Gedaka of CMCH, NJ, Diane Kellmyer of Bear, DE, and Ed Szwajkowski (Gerri) of Bensalem, PA. and his sister, Harriet Gosciniak (Leo) of Philadelphia, PA and brother, Harry Tryon of Bensalem, PA. Beach Pop Pop will missed by his grandchildren, Nanci, Geralyn, Cheryl, Rick, Jill, Krissy, Jessica, Eric, Amy, and his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Gwen, Valerie, Jon and Olivia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church, Shore Rd., Somers Point, viewing one hour prior in the church. Burial, Atlantic Co. Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Holy Redeemer Home Care, 6550 Delilah Rd, Egg Harbor Twp, NJ 08234. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.

Dear Tina and Mike:
I am sorry to hear about your loss. I know your dad was in failing health. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him but if he was anything like his daughter, he was a wonderful man. I am unable to come and pay my respects but I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.
